Jennie Yuan (JJ) is an Academic Success Coach with a passion for helping students develop strong reading, writing, and critical thinking skills. She is currently a junior at Baruch College’s Zicklin School of Business, where she is majoring in Accounting and has earned Dean’s List honors for her outstanding academic performance.
In addition to her studies, JJ has gained valuable professional experience as both a financial consultant and auditing intern, developing strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills that she brings into her work with students. Her academic discipline and attention to detail allow her to guide students in building effective study habits and achieving long-term academic success.
JJ graduated from the highly selective Hunter College High School, where she cultivated a lifelong love of learning and earned multiple national Scholastic Art & Writing Awards. Her background as both a high-achieving student and accomplished writer enables her to connect with learners and help them strengthen their confidence in reading, writing, and self-expression.
While JJ is capable of supporting students across a variety of academic subjects, her primary specialties are reading comprehension, essay writing, English Language Arts, and academic writing. She helps students improve reading analysis, writing structure, grammar, vocabulary, and critical thinking skills through personalized instruction tailored to each student's needs and learning style. She is also experienced in assisting students with school essays, research papers, and college application writing.
Known for her patient, encouraging, and student-centered approach, JJ creates a supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, developing new skills, and reaching their full academic potential.
Outside of teaching, JJ enjoys watercolor painting, reading, and watching documentaries. Her creativity, intellectual curiosity, and appreciation for lifelong learning help her inspire students to become confident readers, effective writers, and engaged learners.
